ABOUT US

Best Cutting Die Co. is a fully integrated design and manufacturing facility supplying cutting dies as well as complete cutting modules to the converting industries. The cutting applications include envelopes, diapers, sanitary napkins, labels and packaging products.

FAMILY BUSINESS

Ed Porento Sr., starting on a small scale, founded Best Cutting Die in 1966. After many expansions, Best Cutting Die has grown to over 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, with over 130 full time employees. Ed is still involved in the day to day operation of the company and is assisted by three of his children, Marion, Gary and Rob who each oversee a different aspect of the business.

QUALITY & SERVICE

Best Cutting Die's products are based on superior craftsmanship and service is our business. Best Cutting Die features all in-house die manufacturing capabilities including vacuum heat treating, cryogenic freezing, CNC machining and "state-of-the art" testing and inspection equipment. This gives Best Cutting Die total control over quality and delivery schedules. Best Cutting Die's employees have been trained to respond to a customer's needs by doing "whatever it takes."

Best Cutting Die Co., in business since 1966 has received many industry awards over the years, and continues to do so. Some of these honors include:

• Special Lifetime Achievement Award to Edward Porento, Sr.
• Citation For Excellence Ten (10) separate citations from a major envelope manufacturer, plus a special Letter of Appreciation for a particular event of significant service.
• The honors continued, such as Vendor of the Year, Preferred Vendor Award, Outstanding Vendor Award, Distinguished Vendor and Material Supplier of the Year, to mention a few.
• Best Cutting Die Co. has also received a Special Certificate of Achievement from the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago.
