26 August 2009 – Best Cutting Die, Chicago WSD GmbH®, Germany and Best Cutting Die, Chicago recently closed a deal for international cooperation on the field of cutting die production and for the distribution of the world wide patented magnetic inline cutting system MAG-In® for sheet-fed printing.

WSD GmbH® opens the way for Best Cutting Die based in Chicago, US to distribute the worldwide patented magnetic inline cutting system MAG-In® in North America, Canada and Mexico.

Best Cutting Die is a well-established family company that is very successful in developing and producing high-quality cutting tools and supplies on the US market.

The intensive negotiations between the partners are now the ground for a long term and constructive cooperation. For John Scinteie (Photo at the far right), General Manager of the North American Company, it is a pleasure having successful signed the contract together with WSD-manager (CEO) Bernd Wegter und project manager Michael Praevcke.

Within the transatlantic cooperation the focus is on synergetic effects in the production and development but above all on the extension of distributing the WSD-patented inline cutting tools and supply products.

The most mentionable is the unique MAG-In®-System, which directly allows cutting, perforating, folding and embossing during the printing process. This so called “inline” cutting treatment can be used in all kind of sheet-fed presses. The conversion time is short, so the end-user can also save time as well as money by a minimum effort. As an advantage the post processing work has not to be outsourced.

The WSD inline cutting system based technically on a flexible high-tech magnetic plate which can be easily installed into the printing unit or coating unit of the sheet-fed press. Just the rubber blanket must be removed of the cylinder.

Because of the a high adhesive force as a typical feature of the magnetic material the metallic cutting tools have high position stability and offer flexibility at on-site installation. For special tasks there is the possibility to design and to produce complete metallic cutting tools CUT-In® for the customer.

The partners underline that the things now were put on the right track for the future. Both Best Cutting Die and WSD are ready to succeed on the world’s market and they will also take technical profit out of the partnership.
